Static Shelving Storage system for Finished garments
This leading manufacturer of Dhotis, Shirts, Inner Wears, Knit Wears, fabrics, and Kids & Women’s Clothing set foot in the textile industry in 1983. Their warehouse was located in Tirupur, the knitwear hub of the Indian knit garment industry near the textile city of Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu. India. Its dynamic marketing strategy makes it one of the leading players in the textile industry.The Requirements
At their new processing facility, had planned to allocate more storage space due to their projected demand but their limited clear height and selectivity for picking and handling each SKU became their challenge. The conventional stacking method did not prove to be useful as it could benefit in terms of space but not in piecewise picking, hence handling huge volumes became a difficult task.

The Solution
- The solution was a Shelving System with 2 variants of racks for their G+2 Civil building. The total number of racks was 380 with 4 levels of decking up to a height of 3400 on each floor and capable to handle 1T load per level.
- The total number of finished goods and garments that can be accommodated in these shelving levels were close to 4.8 Lakhs individual finished garments, with a total load up to 1000 Tonnes.
