Rack Clad system with Triple Deep Stacker Crane ASRS for Icecream storage at -25°Celsius

Challenges faced by customer
- Space constraint: limited space (8500 sq feet) available to store 4500 pallets
- Higher storage capacity to meet seasonal market demands ( Jan to June)
- To reduce manpower in handling goods at sub-zero temperatures.
- End to end automation: pallet inward from production area to dispatch.
- Higher throughput demands to handle 60 pallets per hour
- 70% partial picking requirement
- Efficient Inventory control and FIFO at warehouse

The Solution
- Rack Clad system with Triple Deep Stacker Crane ASRS
- Straight line RGV from Pallet inward area to Ante Room
- Curved RGV from Ante Room to ASRS Crane
Benefits to the Customer
- Effective space utilisation with Rack Clad ASRS which avoids the the requirement of PEB pillars and achieve 4500 pallets in small area with 36m system height. Construction cost & time saved for 36m PEB height.
- Higher storage capacity of 4500 pallets with a triple deep system to meet seasonal market demands.
- Reduced manual touch points & end to end automation: Pallet inward happens in production area and straight line RGV delivers the pallets to Ante Room area conveyors from production area. From Ante Room conveyors, the curved RGV picks and delivers the pallets to the Crane. Same Curved RGV picks the OUT pallet from Crane and delivers at dispatch area.
- Two stacker cranes are designed to achieve the higher throughput demands of customer which delivers full pallets & partial picking pallets as well
- Craftsman WMS integrated with customer ERP provides seamless dispatch operations at customer end with full control in inventory & ensuring FIFO of pallets inline to the shelf life of products.
