Push Back & Drive in Racking

Push Back Racking

Push back pallet racking system is ideal for storing multiple pallets of the same SKU, and are mostly preferable when Last-In-First-Out (LIFO) inventory management is followed. All our pallet lanes operate independently, thereby offering a flexible pallet storage option. Once a pallet is unloaded on our systems, the remaining inventory replaces the position of the front pallet by a sliding cart that utilizes gravity, ensuring the uninterrupted availability of a pallet in picking faces. Our push back pallet racking system is compatible with all major types of forklifts, including counterbalance, narrow-aisle, and swing reach lifts. Furthermore, damage to our racking structure is minimal as lift trucks never actually enter the racking system. All our Pallet Racks come well-equipped with an extensive range of accessories such as grates, collision protection, rear cladding, or support beams.

Advantages

  • Offers better use of available space than most systems
  • Minimizes honeycombing effect in the warehouse
  • Allows increased storage of SKU’s
  • Saves on labor and labour risks by avoiding both the removal of obstructive pallets by forklift drivers and direct entry of employees channels for goods retrieval
  • Provides more storage rack area with a single-aisle design
  • Allows for quicker and easier loading/unloading of pallets
  • Low-maintenance costs

Drive in Racking

Craftsman’s drive-in racking is a high density storage solution that enables storage of pallets in multiple horizontally and vertically arranged aisles. This maximizes use of available space and height in the warehouse. Craftsman’s drive-in racking is made with the same frames as our established pallet racking system and is equally equipped to bear heavy loads. Material Handling Equipment drives into the aisle to store & retrieve pallets. In drive in racking, pallets are mostly loaded and unloaded from the same side, operating on the LIFO (Last In, First Out) principle. Our framework also allows for FIFO ( First In, First Out ) principle when pallets are loaded on one side and unloaded from the other. When the MHE drives into the aisle and places the pallets from rear to front on storage rails that run entirely from one side of the rack to the other, it enables optimal use of surface area and storage space. Drive in Racks offer the ability to store a large amount of identical SKU in a smaller area. Craftsman’s drive-in racking is an optimal storage system to store homogeneous products with a large number of pallets of the SKU. All our pallet racking systems come well-equipped with an extensive range of accessories such as grates, collision protection, rear cladding, or support beams.

Advantages

  • Drive in racking systems increase storage density by eliminating aisles and are multiple pallet positions deep.
  • It allows configuration for both FIFO and LIFO management making it a versatile type of racking solution.
  • Eliminates the service aisles found with a conventional pallet racking system.
  • Ideal for homogeneous products with a large number of pallets of the same reference, and with a low turnover.
  • Our galvanised rolled rails offer superior torsion resistance and resist abrasion.
